Will never shop at advance auto parts again!!!! Been fixing my cars and changing my own oil for 15 years most of those parts were purchased at advance. Saturday morning at work I used the advance auto online site to purchase a blower motor and manual for my wife's car. Was sent to a carquest(owned by advance) to pick up blower since it was out at local advance, I then had to pick the manual from advance because it was out at carquest. Get home, I have the wrong "exact fit" blower motor. Ran down to advance near my house to exchange. Associate attempted to scan receipt and enter order number, would not pull up in system. Called advance customer service and was told that advance and carquest are seperate companies, and that I would need to return the part carquest. I DID NOT PURCHASE THE PART FROM CARQUEST. My bank statement says Advance Auto Parts. The online receipt emailed to me says Advance Auto parts. The receipt for the blower motor says Carquest and Advance Auto parts. ADVANCE WILL NOT EXCHANGE OR REFUND MY MONEY FOR A PRODUCT PURCHASED AT ADVANCE AUTO ONLINE. This is unacceptable business practice. Carquest closest to me is closed on Sunday, the next closest open carquest is 37 miles from me. At Advance customer service is a joke. By the way, the correct part is 20 dollars cheaper at Oreilly. Advance, I've spent thousands of dollars at your businesses over the years and you have just lost a customer for life and every other person I tell about this poor excuse for customer service.
